The primary tag team title on Raw, with a lineage dating to October 3, 2002. It was created by SmackDown General Manager Stephanie McMahon as the WWE Tag Team Championship after the original World Tag Team Championship (1971–2010) became Raw-exclusive, and Kurt Angle & Chris Benoit won a tournament to become the inaugural champions at No Mercy. The two titles were unified from 2009 to 2010 (the "Unified WWE Tag Team Championship"); the surviving title was renamed the Raw Tag Team Championship in 2016, unified with the SmackDown Tag Team Championship as the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship from 2022 to 2024, and renamed the World Tag Team Championship in April 2024. Reigns are credited to teams; The New Day holds the record with five reigns as a team, while Kofi Kingston holds the individual record with seven.
