One of WWE’s two women’s world titles, defended on Raw. It was introduced on August 23, 2016 as the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship — the counterpart to the Raw-exclusive WWE Women’s Championship — with Becky Lynch crowned the inaugural champion at Backlash in September 2016. As a result of the 2023 WWE Draft the two women’s titles switched brands, and on June 12, 2023 this title was renamed the Women’s World Championship. Charlotte Flair (then billed simply as "Charlotte" early on) holds the record with seven reigns.
