The NWA World Women's Championship is the top prize of the National Wrestling Alliance's women's division and one of the oldest women's titles in wrestling, tracing to Mildred Burke's recognition as inaugural champion in 1950 (built on the title she had held since defeating Clara Mortensen in 1937). The Fabulous Moolah dominated its early decades with four reigns and the two longest in its history before selling the championship to the WWF in 1983, after which the NWA restarted its own lineage. Also billed at times as the NWA Women's Championship, it was revived for the modern NWA in 2019.
