One of WWE’s two women’s world titles, defended on SmackDown. It was introduced by Hall of Famer Lita at WrestleMania 32 on April 3, 2016 to replace the WWE Divas Championship, with Charlotte Flair (then billed simply as "Charlotte") as the inaugural champion. After the 2016 brand split it was renamed the Raw Women’s Championship; following the 2023 WWE Draft the women’s titles switched brands and on June 9, 2023 it reverted to the WWE Women’s Championship name. It has a distinct lineage separate from the original 1956–2010 WWE Women’s Championship and the Divas Championship.
